Trouble with small things . . .

I do some fairly advanced illustrations using CS6 v. 16.0. with Mac.  I have a lot of trouble and waste a lot of time over little things.  I do no know if they are bugs or if there is some way to fix them.

Some examples:

(1) cannot grab an anchor point with change direction tool or delete anchor point tool; requires many attempts even when precise cursor is used. Keep getting the msg 'use the delete anchor tool on an anchor point of the object'.

(2) Clicking on an anchor point with direct selection tool usually selects the whole object; requires many tries before an individual anchor point can be selected  (3) the swatches I have saved suddenly disappear from the swatches window.  Frequently, a whole swatch library loads in the swatches window with no help from me.  At this moment, I cannot make the swatches window appear at all, no matter what I do.

(4) The knife tool (a very useful thing if it were working right) is not stable.  When used, it follows a wobbly, unstable line; does not respond to holding the option key down.

(5)  I used to be able to create a scaled duplicate object in place by holding the option key down as the scale tool was used.  Now I cannot do this.  I have to drag the duplicate object off the original before I can scale it.

iThere are other troublesome things but that's enough for now.  Anybody else having any of this? Are they bugs?  Has any of the above been dealt with with CC?
