This is extremely frustrating. I set coords or dimensions and AI just changes them. I'm at my wit's end with this software. I'm seriously considering cancelling my CC sub and just using open source tools that actually do what you tell them to. Is it my mistake for trying to use AI to create simple web graphics that need to be precisely aligned? I'm not even doing anything that strange. I have a gear image that has a hole in the center. It's a super-simple compound path but no matter what I try, align, setting coords, snapping to guides, it just puts it where IT wants. I'm animating the image via CSS and the center hole is off center, making the spinning animation look really stupid. I just don't get it.
