All versions of the Adobe update through CS5 were/are so unreliable as to be useless. The Adobe updater and installer teams are beginning to get their act together as of CS6 and higher.
You are going to have to look for, download, and apply the updates manually yourself.
I suggest you use Google and add "site:adobe.com" (without quotes) to your keywords to restrict your search to the Adobe site.
